Between October 6th and October 13th, 2022, we are going to proceed with an upgrade of our object storage metadata store in our Geneva (ch-gva-2) location. This component holds object metadata and references to the underlying storage layer.

As part of this upgrade, your bucket(s) will be read-only for 15 minutes at most. During this 15-minutes period, all writes (object uploads, metadata changes, ACL updates) will be denied by the API layer.

While this upgrade will initially have no impact for your workloads, it paves the way for further improvements of the Object Storage platform.
